About Us:

The First Covenant Foundation is an educational, charitable organization dedicated to holy Name of God - and particularly, to the spiritual, ethical, legal and religious principles of the Torah, God's Way, that pertain to non-Jews as well as Jews.

These are the "laws" - the eternal touchstone principles that constitute the basis of all true religion, ethics and morality - of the First Covenant.

The First Covenant, associated with Adam and Eve and Noah and the Flood, is also termed the Noahide Covenant, and the Rainbow Covenant.

Our mission: to explore, study and teach everything connected to the Torah, history, religion, science, economics, politics and statesmanship, etc., that applies to the whole human race rather than just the "People of the Book," the Jewish People.

See our flagship book:
The Rainbow Covenant:
Torah and the Seven Universal Laws

From the revolution that began at Sinai, the holy Hebrew Tradition, here are the Universal Teachings, the Seven Noahide Laws, explained and contextualized - as the very core of the Torah and the heart of what it means to be truly human

Our leadership:

The First Covenant Foundation's Directors
(
and two Foundation Fellows)

Our three directors each began researching and teaching
others about the First Covenant more than 20 years ago:

Michael Dallen started the First Covenant Foundation, with Rabbi Michael Katz and Rev. Jack E. Saunders. Mr. Dallen, an attorney, writer, former carpenter and auto worker, is Jewish. He began treating Israel's Torah Covenant (the Covenant at Sinai) completely seriously only after learning of the First Covenant. He wrote The Rainbow Covenant

Jack

Rev. Jack E. Saunders, who began his professional career as a Baptist pastor, is the president and lector (principal teacher) of Frazier's Chapel, a Noahide center near Cleveland, Tennessee. A leading figure in the modern Noahide movement, he is a First Covenant Foundation director, co-founder, and trustee. As an expert on Christian theology and church history, as a devout student of Torah, and as a teacher, essayist and lecturer, he has introduced thousands of students to the First Covenant. He helped write Rainbow Covenant. Contact: JSaunders @ 1st covenant.org  Rev. Jack E. Saunders

Katz

Rabbi Michael Katz has served as a rabbinic adviser to Noahides since 1989 and has been a First Covenant Foundation trustee from its start. Rabbi Katz worked with Mr. Dallen and Rev. Saunders on Rainbow Covenant; he was the very first rabbinic scholar to review it and helped edit it before publication. Rabbi Katz began his professional career in South Africa; he received semicha ("ordination") from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore. A Torah teacher, businessman and writer, he lives in Miami, Florida with his wife, Toby (daughter of Ohr Sameyach's late Rabbi Nachman Bulman, of blessed memory), and their children, Shai, Naomi and Shifra. We are continuing two Foundation Fellowships, 2010-2012:

Hiram Vazquez (U.S.A.) and Yoshiyahu (Malaysia)

Yoshiyahu (not his birth name), lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Malaysia, a fast-growing, spectacularly multi-ethnic country, has a Muslim-dominated government. Currently, this government does not fully guarantee
freedom of religion or freedom of speech. So we selected
the photo below - an actual photo of our
foundation colleague, even though it isn't all
that recent - to help protect his identity

Yoshiyahu

Hiram Vazquez is Director Jack E. Saunders' helper and his frequent study partner. He has given a lot of himself to First Covenant (as has our other Fellow, Yoshiyahu), for which we thank him as well as Mrs. Vazquez, who has so kindly shared with us the father of their growing children, her husband

Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Vazquez
(We hope to catch our American Fellow without his sunglasses soon,
so we can post a better picture. Hiram V. is a martial artist - he is "the Peaceful Warrior" - and a rap artist. If you like rap music, check out Shema Yisroel, and There's No Palestine
